‘I was the last one to figure out that Yogi was the puppy’s father and he was coming back to find his son.’: Devoted dog dad escapes adopted home several times because he couldn’t leave his canine child behind at the animal shelter he was rescued from

If there is one thing that we have learned from the many dog adoption stories we have had the honor of telling here, it is that the lives of doggos are varied, complicated, and with far more meaning and purpose than we truly give them credit for. Much like the tale we have to tell today which involves a doggo father and son who were separated long ago only to have a fleeting encounter at an animal shelter. Sadly, their meeting was so short because the son was being admitted while the father was being adopted. Leaving the father heartbroken and with a single track mind to get back to the shelter to be with his son.

Unfortunately, these details only came to light far further down the road after several escape attempts that tore up the father's newly adopted pawrent. A sad by product of our cute canines not being able to communicate fully. But in the end the father got to his pup and all was made right in the world.

While it is not all too nice to dismiss the many pawfectly playful and kind Pitbulls that tend to reside in animals shelters. It is always so heartwarming to hear about a person falling in love immediately with their soul dog. Forming that ever lasting connection of love.

Wow, this is some truly hurtful behavior. Not that Yogi understood that his actions would have a deep negative impact on his supposed new pawrent. But still harsh to have your newly adopted canine constantly attempt to escape your home. At least Yogi had a really good reason to want to escape.
